Veteran Owned & Operated
Greetings to all of our incredible patients at Howard’s Pharmacy! We want to write you this letter to explain a few changes you may have noticed. For those of you who don’t know, we purchased the store from Steve and Linda Rippetoe in December. After 31 years of serving our community, they decided to retire and spend more time with their grandchildren. This is a well-deserved reprise for them. For us, this is a wonderful new opportunity to serve you! As an introduction, the new owners are Chad Huntsman and Jacob Cox. They are both residents of Morristown. Chad is a 1991 graduate of Morristown West High School. He has a degree in mechanical engineering from Tennessee Tech, which he used while working at Mahle. Chad then went to pharmacy school at Lipscomb University in Nashville, graduating with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2015. He is married to Marsha (Grooms) Huntsman, and they have two children, Hannah (16) and Olivia (13). Jacob Cox grew up outside of Lexington, Ky. He attended Lipscomb University with Chad and graduated pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2015. After graduation, Jacob worked as a pharmacist at a hospital pharmacy before moving to Morristown in 2016 to begin working with Chad. He met the love of his life here in Morristown, Alex Wild, and they just had their first child, a little boy, Carson. In addition to Chad and Jacob, another local person has a stake in Howard’s Pharmacy. That is Stan Eversole. As you may know, Stan’s father, Willie Eversole, was the original owner of Howard’s Pharmacy. He moved the pharmacy from its previous location inside Howard Brothers to the current site. The Eversole and Huntsman families are lifelong friends. They originally were in pharmacy school in Memphis together. When they moved to Morristown, they even shared the same U-Haul trailer to move their stuff. Chad and Stan have been business partners in the past. When this opportunity presented itself, Chad and Jacob knew that this would be very special for Stan to participate in his father’s old pharmacy. We hope that helps you get to know us better, and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve each and every one of you. Please stop in the store and share a free cup of coffee or bag of popcorn with us so that we can get to know you better! Sincerely, Chad Huntsman, PharmD and Jacob Cox, PharmD
