Meet Angela, CHW
Howard’s Pharmacy now have a Community Health Worker (CHW) at each location who will be available throughout the week to assist members of the community find the help they need.
Angela Rosenbalm, CPhT at Howard’s Pharmacy, is a familiar face that has been part of the team for 24 years. She knows the patients well and sees a need for this program.
Community Health Workers serve people with a wide range of issues. Whether someone is struggling to get to their doctors appointments, needing food and security, without proper clothing, suffering from depression, or has other needs that can be met by a community or social service, the team is available to help them.
As Community Health Workers, these women will serve as liaisons between health/social services and the community. To gain a CHW certification, both Regina and Angela completed a comprehensive training course over the span of 16 weeks. They spent hundreds of hours compiling a growing list of 45+ contacts with Lakeway area organizations.

Angela here, your dedicated Community Health Worker at Howard's Pharmacy, and I'm thrilled to share some heartwarming news with all of you. Last month, at the Hi-C meeting, I had the pleasure of meeting a representative from Phila Health Systems, and together, we embarked on a mission to lend a helping hand to a patient in need.
We came across a dear patient who was moving into a new home but was facing a hurdle with her water deposit. As we know, setting up a new household can be overwhelming, and this financial burden was adding to her worries. But that's when the power of community and connection truly shined.
Thanks to the amazing network of resources available in our community, I reached out to my trusted contact at Douglas-Cherokee Economic Authority. They have been doing incredible work in assisting individuals and families facing financial hardships. I explained our patient's situation, and without hesitation, they jumped in to provide the much-needed support.
Through this new service that we're proud to offer, we aim to connect individuals like our patient with the essential resources they need to thrive in our community. As your Community Health Worker, I have built valuable contacts with various organizations, agencies, and local authorities, all with the shared goal of uplifting and empowering the people of Morristown.
Beyond addressing specific financial concerns, I want everyone to know that I'm here to assist in numerous ways. Whether it's making important phone calls, using the computer or internet, printing documents, mailing letters, or even faxing, consider me your go-to person for any assistance you might need.
Community health is about more than just physical well-being; it's about fostering a supportive environment where we all look out for one another. Together, we can create a stronger, more resilient Morristown, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and lead fulfilling lives.
